Meet Sherry

An advocate running for Atlanta City Council District 11, Sherry has a B.S. degree in Political Science from North Carolina State University (Raleigh) and a M.S. in Information Systems from Roosevelt University (Chicago), with additional leadership training from the GSU Robinson School of Business and the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies. Her civic engagement includes leadership roles with the National Black MBA Association (Chicago, Phoenix, & Atlanta Chapters) the Phoenix Women’s Commission, the League of Women Voters of Atlanta-Fulton, and the Atlanta Citizens Review Board (ACRB). She is a graduate of Leadership North Fulton, the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Regional Leadership Institute (RLI), the Atlanta Police Department’s Citizen Academy, and the Atlanta Fire Rescue’s Citizen Academy. She is a lifetime member of Charles L. Harper High School International Alumni Association, a lifetime member of the NAACP,  and active member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.  

Sherry has a solid track record of advocating for residents, working with elected officials, and municipal project leaders on issues that improve the quality of life for residents in often underserved and disenfranchised communities.
